The goal of the certification is to certify that a person is proficient in the use of the following hardware kits system and/or programming environment. It tests for practical knowledge of the hardware kit, and familiarity with the programming software and design capabilities. It also checks for problem solving skills relating to common applications, particularly with motors and sensors. Knowledge of logical thinking and coding mathematical operations is also tested.
